Inquiring Minds Want To Know

Eric asked the question of the day: What's up with your dream job?"

This Friday morning, I return for Round 2 of interviews. This includes a 30-minute presentation that I give to the search committee about some aspects of the job. Approximately 24 hours before Round 2 begins, I will be given the materials from which I will base this presentation. That means, from Thursday morning on, I will be working diligently to create and practice this presentation.

To be perfectly honest (and as I said before), I'm r-r-r-r-e-e-e-e-a-a-a-a-c-c-c-c-h-h-h-h-i-i-i-i-n-n-n-n-g-g-g-g quite far for this one. I do need lots of luck, again. :)

GOOD LUCK!! I have a feeling your presentation is going to be just as eloquent, graceful, and beautiful as your writing - people would be crazy not to hire you! I cannot wait until this dream job is finally revealed :) Go get em!

HMMMMM will the "SEARCH" committee provide to me 30 mins of WHY I should want to work with that depts team afterwards--HAHA....

Ahhhhh I am such a NON-working for someone person--sorry, just funny how they MAKE (the applicants go through hoops yet to find out that the person or team ur working for are idiots)

OK, I know I have NO clue on what they have said to you on WHY you should want to work there and you said it's your dream job so that is awesome...my comment is more of a GENERAL comment on how quiet a few companies make u go through hoops but you really don't know them but they want to KNOW everything about YOU!...

OK my comment not so related to this probably, I just always FELT and still do that it's a partnership and THE Company NEEDS to keep on SELLING me on WHY and as I sell them on WHY me...YOU follow??---so what's their 30 min pitch back to YOU was my initially thought--hehe....so did I confuse ya--LOL

anyways KICK BUTT!! and ACT AS IF!!

Thanks for the update!

Since you are reaching you have nothing to lose right? Go in there and knock thier socks off! (hopefully they won't have knarly toes like Michelle) ;)

If it happens it was meant to be. If not you are going to get great exposure. After all you made round two didn't you? Win-Win! Have fun with the process, it will make the other candidates look boring.

Round 3 - Negotiate six figure income!

Job hunters want to see confidence to the point of cockiness - but not over the line into arogance and recklessness. It's a fine line!
They also want someone who can be both serious and have a sense of humor - in other words someone they can easily work with.
Your ability to write well is a definite PLUS.
Best of luck with this. Have some positive vibes +~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~
