Friday's Long Run

I find it exciting that I'm not at all fatigued after an 18-ish mile run, inclusive of about 2300 feet elevation gain and subsequent loss. That's all I've got to say at the moment.

I'm very impressed that you haven't needed much recovery and are right back at it. Do you think the slower pace of distances beyond the marathon lead to faster recovery? I would think more "time on feet" would mean a longer recovery. I'm just always amazed at how ultrarunners get right back into it. Do you think there's a difference? I've always wondered about this...
