Slippery and Snowy
Today was a pretty easy day. It was snowing all day long, a nice soft snow with big huge flakes. I ran after school with my friend Katy. We ran about 9 miles and the road was runnable because the snow was at the crunchy level. It was really beautiful with all of the snow falling. My legs were definitely tired from all of yesterday's running but our pace was just right so that I really did not feel very taxed.
When we returned I took Seb on a very slippery three mile run. The road conditions had changed quite quickly. You know it is slippery when your four legged friend is slipping and sliding on the roads with you. This three mile run I should barely count as mileage because our pace was so slow. My main goal was not to crack my head. I fell backwards once right in the middle of the road. I am glad that I have never seen a car on that road. The roads were covered with a thin layer of snow which made it very greasy. After that fall I decided to just jog home. I probably should have walked but I am not that patient and I was cold so I wanted to get home to shower. I made it home with only a few minor slips and Seb also made it home with a few small slips and slides. Tomorrow should be an easy day with some running and skiing.
