Nice Sunday Run

On Saturday my day was swamped and I was pretty tired from my long run on Friday so I took the day off. I wanted to find time to run but I was busy and feeling unmotivated. The day off paid off. Today I ran in Burlington with the Sunday long run group at 8 a.m. I was in the restroom when everyone left for the run because I snuck in fast without anyone seeing me. When I came out everyone had left for the run so I had a fun time catching up to all the different groups. My legs felt fresh and it was not as cold as it seemed even though it was snowing as we drove to Burlington. It was about 30 degrees and the sun was trying to shine through the gray clouds. I knew I would run at least 10 miles but was hoping I'd feel good enough to run 15 miles. I did feel great and ended up running about 15-16 miles. I was really tired by the last mile because I was trying to hit the same time on the way back as I had on the way out. I ran a minute faster on the way out because the last two miles I was really thirsty and feeling low on sugar. My legs feel great now and I am excited about another hard week of training. Last week turned out to be a 70 mile week with one day off and I am hoping for an 85 mile week this week. It will be tough because it's a busy week but I'll just need to do longer morning runs. Now it's time for bed.
