A Few Easy Runs

Last night, on Tuesday, I ran an easy three miles with the dogs. We ran our little town loop which consists of three one mile loops. Running with the dogs, I probably run over three miles but I only give myself credit for three miles because it is so sporadic and we have to stop at least two times. The sky was a great pink color around 5 p.m. so that made the additional run great. Earlier in the day I had run 8 miles with Jen, the upper Elmore loop to lower Elmore loop. I ran the first two miles extremely slow because my quad was really tight and stiff. I was very frustrated about this. The rest of the run was ok but I was still distracted by my quad.

This morning, on Wednesday, I ran 4.5 miles with Seb. My quad ached for the first half of the run and I was very discouraged. I wanted to turn around and go home but I decided to stick it out and run at least four miles since I was already out there. I was going to do five miles but a dog that was not on a leash came out and started following us so I turned us around and cut the run short. On the way back my quad felt better. It gets really fatigued and I feel like I am running so slow. I think a good warm up will help some of the irritation. Tonight I am going to run about 6 miles with Jen and do some abs and push ups. Now I am off to go photocopy.
