Treadmill Day
Yesterday I just ran in the morning. I was pretty beat for the rest of the day and just went to bed early. I was able to get 10 hours of sleep. I had intended to get up and go for a run this morning but I was so tired I slept an extra hour and it felt good.
My day was pretty packed today so I had no time to go out for a run while it was still light out. At 7 p.m. I had a chance to run and decided I did not feel like running outside. I also remembered that Thursday was my workout day. I decided to hop on the treadmill and see how long I could bare it. I ran 1 mile at 7.30 pace and the next mile at 7.15 pace. I then ran 5 miles at 6.44 pace. I felt really good except that my right leg felt like it was doing more of the work. I did not feel like I was hitting it harder than my other foot but I just felt like I was leaning to my right side more than my left. I wonder if increasing the grade would have corrected that effect. It feels a bit tight now so I am going to stretch it once I finish typing this. I then ran 4 more miles at 7.30 pace. The workout actually went by pretty fast and I was happy that I felt like I did not have to work too hard to run any of those paces. After the run I did about a half hour of lifting. I am now going to go and wash up and ice and stretch! I have a few runs scheduled tomorrow outdoors which I am looking forward to doing. I am also going to see the Incredibles after waiting for a very long time to see it. I am going to see it with the head coach I work with and some of her friends. It should be a nice Friday break after a busy week.

Too bad that I didn't know you needed to run last night. Brad and I ran at 7pm and went right by Smith! I thought actually thought of you last night because we ran on the bike path. I had the flashlight on in the dark spots because I was scared. We almost bumped into someone walking because we couldn't see them. That was a second before Brad descriptively announced that he had to go to the bathroom. I guess you have to be careful of what you say when you can't see in the dark.

Caitlin, we should schedule a run once a week - that would be great! An evening run would work for me. The public annoucement about going to the bathroom sounds funny - you have to be careful. Good strides..
