Biking and Easy 3 miler
I had a rough afternoon Friday. I realized I was using the wrong technique to fix some of the books that I was fixing at the library. My supervisor informed me that the method I was using was too advanced and not necessary and my work was not that neat. Fortunately, I know how to do the more simple style neatly. And it is a more efficient way to do the way. I was disappointed with myself and taking a huge cup of humility when I realized that I probably should have asked specifically what he expected from me before I got started with the work. Needless to say when I left work for the afternoon I was upset with myself. Originally I was planning to take a nap before our afternoon practice and pre-meet dinner but I knew I would be distracted and not be able to rest.
I decided to go to the gym and bike for an hour. I rode for 55 minutes and maintained the rpms at 90 or above. It was a good ride and I did so much sweating that I felt pretty tired afterwards but I felt better about what I need to do at the library. After the ride I met the team and drove them to Mt. Holyoke to preview the course. It was rainy and cold so we were all anxious to get the run over with. The course was incredibly flat; essentially it was two loops around the lake on the campus. Pr's were sure to come the next day. After the workout everyone showered in the locker rooms and headed to the head coaches house for a delicious dinner and pre-race meeting. I really enjoy dinners at other people's houses these days because I so rarely cook a decent meal for myself. I am usually rushing around and making the easiest meal I can find. I left the house feeling satisfied and excited about the next day's meet.
