friday/saturday
friday:
ran the "run w/a view" loop but added on the half mile loop at the top of the ridge. i ran w/my coworker at lunch. 38:30 ish. we ran the loop backwards --the long uphill grind at the beginning made the run feel tough.
i added on the ma 5k after this run for a few extra miles. except i only ran 3 miles of it. i picked up the pace a bit. the winds picked up and i felt like i was running uphill the entire time (6:53, 6:53, 6:39).
about 8 in for the day.
right after the run i hit the roads with our team and we drove up to their championship meet in northern california. an overnight trip!
saturday:
after being away at a meet all day and working at the finish line for 8 hours-- i couldn't wait to get out for a run. i thought i would run my workout faster b/c my legs felt pretty good, but i think standing in the sun all day took a toll on me.
i ran 2.5 miles for a warm up. then i ran 2 x 2 mile repeats on the pac sun 10k course. i was hoping to run between 12:00 and 12:05 per repeat but instead ran 12:16 for the first interval, 12:15 for the 2nd.
it wasn't bad. i felt strong, but not especially fast!
