I have found something else to worry about
wind! North winds about 20mph!
The course is an out-n-back: 13.1 south, then 13.1 north. Joy.

WHAT?!?!?! In Jacksonville? Crazy. Isn't hurricane season over now?!?! :)
It is still too early for a reliable weather predictions. Try to relax (I know, easier said than done). How are you feeling?

not a hurricane (though there is a tropical storm headed for central america right this minute) but a cold front. I don't know about weather where you live, but here it's common to have a stiff breeze accompany a front.
I've seen numbers ranging from 9-22mph, and directions ranging from north (horrible) to WNW (better). Still, this is not good news for anyone trying to negative-split the race. I'm torn between revising (read: over-re-analyzing) my plan and just trying not to think about it. My legs feel ok, though.

Yeah, I was kidding about the hurricanes. I said that b/c I lived in Jacksonville for 5 years and it just isn't windy there very often unless you are at the beach (or there is a hurricane/tropical storm).
I just looked at the weather report - it is warm down there! Man I hope the weather breaks like it is predicted. Good luck. I will pray to the weather gods for you! ;)
