Duncan Larkin is my hero

Track workout this afternoon. The usual dread colored my whole day. But as the hour drew nigh, I dressed, packed a towel and some water and some candy-orange slices and drove through rush-hour traffic to the track. Warmed up, stood around a bit too long, then did the workout without stopping or whining too much. Even though we were a group of 5 or 6, our paces were all over the map and I ran mostly alone, with the next guy about 5-10s behind me. Kind of a wimpy workout: 4x1000, 200 recoveries; 2 sets of 2, with 400 recovery between sets. Coach's goal was 4:00 and I don't know where that came from. Actual times were 3:52, 53, 53, 50 and I don't know where that came from either. Candy-orange slices all around afterward.

Thanks, Duncan.
