Dump Hills

A hard run this morning at the local "waste management center". Tim, Grady, Mackenzie, Claire, Sarah, Becky, and Coaches Johnson and Jacobs all attended practice.

Only 28 training days remain until practice begins. Make the most of those days! It takes an athlete 6 weeks to round into shape and another 6 weeks to get into racing shape. If you wait until August 25th to start you'll be rounding into shape about October 6th and ready to run fast races November 17th! We want to be in shape August 25th so that we're ready to run some fast races October 8th at Bellevue, 11th at Hoquiam Invite, 15th at Redmond, and 23rd at KingCo League Championships.

The new track at LWHS is nearly finished! They expect to open the facility on Monday August 11th! The new surface is in the final stages of installation. I'll post pictures of the new surface soon. Once the surface has had time to solidify and the lines are put down I'll post pictures of the finished construction!

Also, I'll put pictures from the Running Camp soon too.

St Edwards State Park

Fantastic run at St Edwards friday morning. We ran a 30 minute loop that included 10 minutes of uphill running.
Attending: Maddie, Anne, and Captain Sarah

Running Camp is only 1 week away! :) I'm excited
We need to figure out carpooling. Please let me know if you can drive up on Sunday or back on Friday. I will be taking my motorcycle.
I think we have 7 going so 1 big car or two smaller cars will work.
Here's who I remember signing up: Captain Sarah, Captain Veronica, Captain Tim, Conor, Daniel, Chris, and Grady....let me know if I missed anyone else going!

Summer heat finally arrives

Yesterday's run included some Powerline trail repeats, 5 of 'em. Running all 5 were fr. girls Anne, Mackenzie, and Nicola, so. Adrian, Coach Johnson, Sr. Brieccia, Jr. Jenny, Jr. Grady ran 3 but had to leave early. Captain Tim was present but did not run and Captain Veronica came also, but is focusing this week on her STP preperation.

Hawaii, Europe, California, ...

Lots of runners on vacation this week, but those of us not on vacation are still running.
Yesterday Captain Veronica, Sr. Conor, and Coach Johnson did hill repeats at the local dump, assisted by Coach Jacobs and Captain Tim.
Today Captain Tim headed up a threesome of cross country newbies, Fr. Nicola, Fr. Anne, and So. Adrian.
Oh, and we finally finished putting the mats in storage :)
