Week #39

I decided to rename my run along the waterfront here in Kirkland. It feels a lot like running in Central Park so that's what I have decided to call it.

I also added up my mileage for the past 365 days. My goal was to run 3000 miles. I came up 430 miles short. But on the good side, I'm up from 2207 for the year 2004 and I should be able to come close to 2600 for year. I know its not quite up to Alison standards, and my cross training includes Chubby Hubby Ice Cream and Fat Tire beer, but at least its an improvement of over 15%.

Wednesday Workout
2x400m 82,82
2x600m 2:00, 1:59
1x800m 2:38
2x600m 1:59, 1:57
2x400m 76, 68

Thurs: 8 miles, Central Park (Kirkland Style)
Wed: 8 miles, Track Workout (4800m total @ 5:16 pace)
Tues: 8 miles, NE 145th Pop
Mon: 0 miles

I'm trying to picture how running along a waterfront could remind you of Central Park... Perhaps just the reservoir area of the park?

I'm impressed with the track workout. Keep that kind of thing up and you'll be speedy in no time! (Not that you aren't already, of course...)

Hi-

I'm new to running and am having trouble finding good runs in the Seattle area. I'm running the half marathon in November, so am looking for ever-increasing distance. Do you have any good sites/maps you can recommend? Also, where exactly is the Queen Anne Loop?

Thanks, and good luck!
