Moving Day #1

Yesterday was moving day #1. It was only the first day of driving my stuff across the state, but it ended up being a pretty big haul. I filled up a 5x8 trailer and most of the truck hauling the trailer. Somehow I picked the one day in Seattle when it was over 90 degrees! I was fairly successful though in that I came over without much of a plan and ended up getting a good deal on a convienent storage unit, filled it up and made it in to my new "apartment" (more like closet) by 7:30 pm. Unfortunately the truck was not as happy. The radiator nearly exploded as I was trying in vain to find a parking spot near the apartment. Thankfully when I checked it this morning it appears to be in working order.
This morning I moved in my bed. Now I'm researching some activities for the weekend and contemplating a drive over to Kirkland, but I am more than a little scared by the whole traffic scene. I can't go early because they have one of the bridges closed, which means the others are overful. And if I go too late I'll hit Friday rush hour traffic. Basically I think I have from 1:30 'til 3 pm to go over and get back. Of course the whole time I'll be freaking out that the radiator will blow up and I'll be stuck broken down on the bridge! At least its not 90 degrees again today.
Big city life is going to be great!

Fri: ??
Thurs: 9 miles, Dam run
Wed: 6.5 miles, Switchbacks plus Logging hill repeats
Tues: 9.5 miles, Ryan's Loop
Mon: Off Day, 0 miles

Good thing you already have experience living in a closet, if not the big city :-) Moving is fun, huh?

If/when you get a chance, send me your new address, because I have a video from college (you winning a 3K, I think) which you should have.
