update

I've been feeling pretty bad this week. Probably just the heat, but I finally started feeling good today and even better the last 20 minutes. I ended up running today's hilly loop 9 minutes faster than I did three weeks ago, so that's something.

Back in SpoVegas

Well its nice to be back in SpoVegas. The running camp in Montana was really great! I wish I could have stayed for the second week, but its crunch time for finding a job.
I have to give props to my new shoes. My last pair (Asics DS 9) were pretty bad, almost worse than the pair that had 700 miles (Asics DS 8) on before I finally retired them. This new pair looks like a winner though. (Asics 2090)
Today's run was pretty slow, I'm still recovering from Montana where the normal run was 35 minutes of grueling hill, followed by 28 minutes of constant downhill. I managed to get in a solid 12.5 miles before the heat of the day hit - 95 degrees right now! Fortunately the weather here is changing tomorrow back into the 70s.
So I've been avoiding figuring out exactly how far behind 80 min/day I am but here goes...so I'm currently averaging 51.9 minutes per day over the past 41 days. Meaning I need only to average 2 hours and 37 minutes per day for the next two weeks to reach my goal. But if I average 80 min per day for the next two weeks I'll get up to 59.4 per day which I suppose is acceptable.

James' Running day 41 of 56, averaging 80 minutes per day.
Current Average: 51.9 minutes/day (2127/41)
YTD Mileage: 1262.5 miles/ Miles behind Alison: LOL

Running Camp

Running camp started yesterday in Montana. Its a short spurt of mileage but hopefully a start towards some great summer training. Its a long drive over here, but totally worth it. The food can't be beat!

Losing an Entry

I could swear I posted an entry last Wednesday. Now its lost so here goes a new one.

Another busy week with Graduation and two job interviews. Flew to Seattle on Wednesday.

Ran a race on Saturday, won $50 cash money for running a 38 min 10K, got to love that.

Going to Flathead lake running camp later today. A full week of running and lots of FOOD! Running twice a day should help give my average a boost. It doesn't look like I'll get back up to 80/day, but at least I'll get back over 60.

Still Slacking, but feeling good

A great weekend at State this week. Lots of fast times, 2 school records and nearly a third. We had 3 girls qualify for the 800m final and our 4x400 cut off over 6 seconds. The real surprise was our 1600m girl running a 9 second pr to win in 5:10.6!

Today the coaches celebrated the end of the season by taking a lesiurly strool into the mountains to run. Its amazing how good it feels to be done sometimes. It was one of the best seasons I've had, but its always tough too, especially with all the other work I have going on in my life.
