5 in the morning
No, I didn't run at 5 AM. I'm not that dedicated and I didn't get into my hotel until after midnight. I did run 5 miles though at 9 am in the morning.
Today's run consisted of running through the streets of Baker City, OR. Apparently they don't worry too much about polution here because I feel like I inhaled about 10 cigarettes during my run. Of course, that could also be because I could only get a smoking room at this hotel last night, so I had 10 last night too.
At least there is an internet connection here. I had to buy a keyboard this morning though because mine is pretty much dead and most of the keys don't work.
Yesterday I ran 7.5 miles on the Umatilla Indian Reservation. Hopefully I'll get another decent run in later today so that I'll be on pace to break 50 by the end of the week.
Today I'm driving further south and east, hoping to make it to Nevada by night's end. Its supposed to be 93 here and its bound to be hotter tomorrow in NV. I can't wait to get into the Colorado mountains where it should be much nicer.

Off Days
James' first post. More information about James to come. Still learning to use this system. So far I am 0 for 1 as my computer locked up after changing the name of this running log.
Today was off day for me. Great way to start my "Slacker" running web log! It wasn't intentional though and I have a good excuse - or at least good enough for a slacker. I am leaving for a 10 - 60 day road trip tomorrow. It has been pretty hard to pack everything needed for such a long road trip, not to mention getting my "affairs" in order to leave for such a long time.
Updates may be a little sparse to start due to the lack of computer in my car, but I'll try to update as I go along. I'll be shooting for 50+ miles for this week. It will be my second week at 50+, following a month of 35-45 miles per week.
