Is there anything as nice as the first workout on the outdoor track?
After being cooped up at Reggie for the winter and then being pushed to the 1.5 mile road loop on Tuesday, it was pretty sweet to be on the 400m rubber track again.
Solo 4 x 2 mile @ 10:08 with 2:00 rest
1. 5.03, 5.07 = 10.10 (1.58 rest)
2. 5.03, 5.02 = 10.05 (2.11 rest)
3. 5.04, 5.05 = 10.09 (1.56 rest)
4. 5.03, 5.01 = 10.04
Ideal Conditions. Overcast, drizzle stopped just before the workout. Light breeze on the home stretch but nothing that you would notice. Compared to the last 5 days there was no wind at all. Wet track but not going fast enough for traction to matter. Wore the 1001B's and they felt great. Calf's were tight for the first half of the first rep and then it was all systems go for the rest of the workout.
