Familiar Scenery

10/9rest day... just because I can

10/116 miles8:15 pace, PM run in the rain
10/126 miles7:40 pace
10/13rest, stretch, hydrate, focus

10/15Columbus Marathon: 26.2 miles
Yeah, I've been here before. A day to go and time to actually allow myself to think about what I'm about to do. After three weeks of doing nearly nothing, it's hard to remember how hard I worked to get here. I have to flip through my logs and look back over the last four months to remember that I've done my homework, I've built the foundation, I've got the credentials. The only thing left now is to not screw it up. Get enough sleep (as the clock approaches midnight), don't overextend myself (how heavy did I pack that duffle bag?) and don't start the damn thing too fast(note: my mile PR was the first mile of a marathon). 6:50...6:50...6:50...that's gotta be my mantra from this moment now, right through to at least mile ten.

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement...I'll see you all on the other side.
