T(raining)

Beth hit the nail on the head in her most recent entry when she talked about the ability to "think of all these good things to write in your blog when you are running but then by the time you sit down to write them you either (a) forget them or (b) don't feel like writing about them anyway?" I was composing my entry while I was running today, but now I have nothing to say. I really don't do much while I run, except for look around and entertain myself. I'm not one of those people who runs to relieve stress or think things through. When I'm having one of those days, I'm more likely to not run.

I did get honked at 3 different times on my run today, but I didn't give the honkers any reaction. I haven't been honked at in a while. I guess that's what happens when runners re-emerge after being holed up for a week and a half. I've done all my running lately on the treadmill due to the heavy, continuous rain. I really like running in the rain, but not when it is pouring. I say that, but I was too warm five minutes into my run today and was slightly hoping for some rain. I got my wish in the last ten minutes when it began to drizzle.

I also skipped a couple runs recently out of laziness. Brad did make me a mini schedule, but it's hard to stay motivated when you're not training for anything. Actually, I do have to get in better shape for a 4-miler at Mary's wedding so I can help her keep her last name. I'm doing strides (my favorite) twice a week, so at least I'm somewhat on my way.
