Visualization

I stayed at work a little longer than usual which meant that I left later for my 8 mile run. The air felt cool and crisp--almost like fall. I know that I'm longing for fall, but it actually made me feel slightly depressed. It made me miss all my fall runs in Western Mass. and feel nostalgic for all my cross-country team experiences. To alleviate my mini-depression, I decided to pretend I was running on the various cross-country courses that I have logged many miles on throughout my high school, college, and post-collegiate runs. I ran on the golf courses at Dartmouth College and Gardner, through the "wilderness" at Franklin Park, up and down Northfield Mountain, through Sunken Meadow and Saratoga State Park, and on the courses at Smith College, Slippery Rock, Bryant, Albany, and Babson to name just a few. I'm sure people were wondering why I had such a big smile on my face. If only they knew...

Did you know we always parked in front of the "Finch" family house all those years we attended College Church? There was a sign right on the house that read "Santa Lives."
