Those Crazy Neighbors

The next door neighbors here are trouble. The street is a cul-de-sac and they are most definitely the bad seed of the neighborhood. Every neighborhood has one, but we are so lucky to live right next door to ours. The woman who owns the house isn't that bad, but she isn't in the best health or a spring chicken. Two of her sons live with her, and they are the problem. We've had problems with them for some time, but today their behavior was downright strange. The attic window was open and they were literally just throwing things out of the window. Strange.

This morning was much colder and windier than it was yesterday. It's a miracle with all of this changing weather that my health has been good so far. I went out and did what has become my usual Sunday morning route. Last weekend there was a tree down about halfway out and it hasn't been taken care of yet. This is somewhat surprising since the park usually takes great care in maintaining the land. Given yesterday's near race effort, I felt pretty good. The main goal was just to take it easy and flush the acid out of my legs and that goal was accomplished.

We had my uncle and my grandmother over for lunch today. Today is her 91st birthday, so we had a little lunch for her. It is such a shame to see how much her mental capacities have diminished in the past few years. For the most part she is with it, but at the same time she is in her own little world. I can not fault her at all, she has not had an easy life.

This afternoon I went out for a second run. It seems that it got colder and windier as the day went on. I can't vouch for the actual temperature, but with the wind chill it really felt quite a bit colder. This afternoon I wore my racing flats to gradually get my feet used to wearing them again. My legs felt much fresher than in the morning, a good sign.

A new record for laundry was set this weekend. Six loads washed, dried, folded, and put away! The putting away is the real accomplishment. It normally sits folded in the laundry basket for about a week before it gets put away.
