Being Vindictive
Well, maybe not. I am invited to a wedding next weekend, the same person whose shower and bachelorette party I have alluded to recently. I responded to her invitation in a timely fashion, I attended the shower and brought a gift, and even went to the god-awful bachelorette party. I still have not bought a wedding gift, and at this point really have no desire to do so. The shower was three weeks ago and I have yet to receive a thank you note. This makes me want to spend no more of my very little money on a gift for the happy couple. I thought that the etiquette for thank you notes for a shower was two weeks. Right now the only reason I want to go to the wedding now is to get dressed up and wear the dress I wore to a wedding last summer that I really like.
No running today. I did the elliptical for 40 minutes, sandwiching a yoga class. I have found that I am so much less flexible in the morning hours and loosen up as the day goes on. This morning there was no way that I could touch my toes, but right now I could easily reach the ground.
As I was going into the gym this morning I saw two women who I frequently see on the G Trail. They asked me if I was going to run and I reminded them that Friday is my day off. Then I mentioned that I was out there on Wednesday and didn't see them. They both proceeded to tell me how stupid I was to go out and run in such awful conditions. What can I say, I like my schedule and am a creature of habit.
There really isn't too much to write about when you don't do a workout. I could write about my boring day, but that would put everyone to sleep. Hope that everyone has a great weekend!

I totally know how you feel. We have to go to this annoying wedding this year and I really do not feel like getting them a present. Just so you know, it is okay from an etiquitte standpoint to send a gift up to one year after the wedding.
Glad your running is going pretty well!
