What is it About Rain?

I seriously wonder what it is about rain that makes people lose any common sense and intelligence that they may have. This morning three students got off the bus and walked down the street to smoke. They know that they are suspended when they get off the bus and do not come immediately into the building. Why would they choose to end up staying outside on a cold, rainy day? Driving is even worse. For some reason when it rains, especially when it has not rained in a long time, people forget how to do it. There was even a reminder on the traffic watch that you have to change the way you drive when it rains; slow down, don't follow so closely, etc... A prime example that I saw today: a woman goes to make a right turn on red onto a major highway. There are cars in all three lanes, including the lane she is turning into. Instead of waiting, she pulls out and drives about 20 miles an hour! I just don't get it.

We had a soaking rain today. The forecast is for rain tomorrow morning and then clearing out and nice in the afternoon. I most certainly hope that it does clear out since I have two outdoor parties to go to tomorrow. It was a very nice day to take off from running. I would have thought about cross-training today, but getting over the general fatigued feeling of the marathon is much more important to me.

Hope that everyone has a great weekend!
