Bzzy as a Bee
This has got to be quick since today is an extremely busy day. Collapsed super early last night from being wiped out. Doing this makes Saturday morning runs much more tolerable since I am able to be pretty darn awake by 6:15. Got up a little earlier than that since I had to pee and then got dressed and packed for my workout.
We decided to do what we did last week, run through the historic estate. We all thought that we had a really enjoyable run, talking and looking at the pretty landscaping. Of course, this morning was wet and damp, so it was not nearly as pretty as last weekend. We had a bigger group this morning and a group of them decided that we were going to run much faster than we did last weekend. I did feel pretty good, but man we were flying. A few of the guys decided that they were going to sprint about a half mile from the finish. Right before they did this, I had said that I didn't want to run any faster than we were (because I couldn't run any faster!). Anyhow, we ended up running for just under 68 minutes, but ran further than we did last week. Basically, we ran further in less time!
I went over to the gym after the run. I rode the bike for an hour, but I decided to do something different: I put less resistance on and really worked on spinning. My thought is that by spinning faster on the bike I can re-teach my legs some turnover for running. I tried to keep my rpms as close to 100 as I could. After than I lifted some. I'm working up to my pre-race lifting routine.
Now I have to paint my nails in an effort to look pretty for the parties I have to go to soon. J's daughter graduated from high school this week and I have her party this afternoon. One of the guys who I run with is having a cocktail party this evening that I would like to attend (I hope that there are some cute single guys there!).
