How Much Will We Get?
The big topic on the news in these parts is the Noreaster that is forecast for tomorrow. Towards the end of last week the forecast was along the lines of "we don't know if it is going to be rain or snow, but whatever we get, there is going to be A LOT of moisture". Now the forecast is pretty much calling for snow, and quite a bit by our standards. I think that the weatherman on the news at lunch time was calling for 8-10 inches, possibly more if the storm takes a further east track. Weather.com is predicting for the snow to start falling around 6 AM. I will be one unhappy camper if I get up to do my run at 5 and then come back to find out that school has been cancelled. I think that we will probably have an early dismissal, similar to Thursday, so that we get a day of school in that won't need to be made up at the end of the year.
This morning was a very uneventful recovery run. My legs felt suprisingly fresh considering the effort of yesterday's run. My stomach was cooperative, as well, which was a surprise given the amount of wine consumed last night as well as some of the foods that I ate. Hey, 90th birthdays don't happen all that often, some rum cake is allowed! My ankle hurt significantly more today. I had to stop and undo the extra loops in my right shoe to take some of the pressure off of it.
Dad cut all of Mom's hair off this morning. It had been coming out in clumps for the past few days. She decided that it was time to take the plunge, so now she hardly has any hair left. It was not an easy task for any of us.
I've gotta get ready to start cooking our dinner. We picked up some bread bowls at Panera yesterday so that we can have soup in them for dinner. It won't be as good as theirs, but I love bread bowls!
