Almost Reduced to Tears

My massage this afternoon was so painful that I was practically in tears during it. My friends all think that I go for those nice, relaxing massages where you have scented candles and fall asleep. Little do they know the torture I go through for massages...elbow in the butt, bruises from how deep the therapist gets, etc... If all else, I did learn a lesson today...even if I'm not *really* training, my body is still getting abused and the massages are a necessity.

When I woke up this morning, my ankle hurt so much to put any weight on it. I was afraid to run today because it hurt so badly. By the time I was really awake and moving around it did not hurt too much. Putting on running shoes made it feel much better as well. I don't know if the shoes that I wore out last night irritated it some. Since it was not too painful, I decided to go out for a run.

My run was not eventful at all. My legs really did not feel bad at all considering yesterday's long run. My buddy from yesterday e-mailed me yesterday and told me that he was sore. The only thing that was really bothering me was my stomach. I went to a party last night and then headed over to a lounge for a little bit. I ate a breadstick around 10 and was in bed by 11. When I ran it truly felt like I had just eaten that breadstick before heading out the door. I am *definitely* not one of those people who can eat before they run. It almost got to the point that the port-o-pot was going to be too far to go, but thankfully I made it. After that stop, my stomach felt much better.

Tomorrow is a holiday for us at work, that I need greatly. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about training. J and I were going to do the workout in the morning and then I would do my easy run in the afternoon. We're playing it by ear since there is a winter storm heading our way. They say that the morning is going to be pretty ugly with snow and turning into rain in the afternoon. Right now they are classifying the storm as a nuisance, so it should not be too much snow. Other than that, mom and I may be going out to lunch at Panera Bread Company so that I can get soup in a bread bowl. Probably not much shopping since I hit most of the places that I buy clothes today and only found two pairs of pants that I bought up!

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday!
