Tummy Troubles

All afternoon my stomach didn't feel right. I have a sensitive stomach and must be very careful about what and when I eat in relation to my running (and just in general). I don't think that I did anything wrong today, but things just didn't feel right. As I sit here writing I am fighting off terrible stomach cramps.

Tonight's workout was the grass fields again. I'll be doing this for a few more weeks, gradually adding more time on each week. This week I did 27 minutes. I ran very conservatively for a few reasons. I really tried to watch where I stepped since my ankle is still on the swollen side and the last thing I needed to do was step in a hole and tear a tendon. The second reason was that Saturday's run was entirely too fast and I still feel pretty beat up. We were definitely running 6 minute pace or faster for quite a bit of the run. In all I ended up with between 9 and 10 miles for the night.

I'm starting to think about what races I'd like to key in on for the fall. I do some and train right through them since they end up being more like workouts than races and others have a cutback since they are considered peak races.

I'm off to lay down and hope these cramps go away.
