SheROX Indeed!

Just a quick report! After a longgggggg drive back yesterday (whose idea was it to race in NC anyway?) we arrived home around 9:30 pm (this, after leaving NC around noon!). And then we realized...we had no electricity! It had been incredibly windy the entire drive home and pretty much our whole little town had lost it's power.

So what did I do? Took my ice bath by candle light of course! And then I showered and stretched and then...went to bed. No electricity means no internet. Major bummer. :)

When O got up this morning for work, still no power. Many of the schools in the area were either delayed or cancelled but his school district hadn't been yet. So he too got ready by candle light (actually more like battery power) and just as he was getting ready to leave...our power returned. Yippppeeee!! Still no internet because once our modem gets messed up, it refuses to work for a long time. But after a call to Verizon and some modem manipulations I am back in action!

And really sore too!

Those sprint races really hurt!

Nevertheless, we had a blast in NC! The SheROX race was so much fun and exactly what I was hoping to achieve - a low pressure but very good, hard effort before my last two races of the season. And I got in a little hot/humid racing practice while I was at it! Full race report to follow of course. But thanks to everyone for their good luck wishes and encouragement! You guys ROX! :)

And now I am off to the swimming pool. But don't tell my lats. They are already in major revolt!

You neglected to mention your dominant victory, so I had to google the race and figure out how you did for myself.

Congratulations!!!!

Yeah, modesty is boring! Brag about it--I Googled the race too.

Congrats! That third-place woman ran super-fast, especially for a masters runner!

WHOA Beth!!! way to go, I am so with you, these NO-stresser-pressure races are the whole reason we love it huh? Totally stoked for you, now when is the next 70.3???

I so want a bath by candle light... Happy recovery, yep, the short n' sweet races HURT!

CONGRATS, Beth, I'm glad your other blog fans shared the news about your win since you didn't! Sounds like a great day out, and I look forward to hearing more about it.

Recover happy,
Meghan
