The Usual Suspects
Nothing too exciting today. More swimming (600 pull PR by A LOT!) this morning and then some lifting this evening after work. Lifting is now entering it's "power" phase which would be the period where I actually try to get stronger. I will have to say that I am much stronger than last year in the weight room which is certainly translating into better swimming. It also means my shirts are a little tighter in the shoulders. Not a bad thing at all!
One of these days I'll have something super exciting to write about on my blog. But for now it's much of the same. It has occured to me more than once though that this is what good, solid training is all about. Day after day of consistent effort, never missing a workout, keeping the nose to the grindstone and working hard.
Regardless, in other news, I read this article today and it really saddened me. Stay safe out there guys. Speaking from experience, it happens in a blink of an eye. And to Kristy's family and friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

You are right. It is the day after day of steady workouts that gets the job done. Us triathletes are definitly the tortoises in the world of tortoises and hares.
