Good Friday
Today's been a very Good Friday indeed. O and I both have the day off work so we've been hanging out, getting things done and (of course) watching a lot of basketball. You'll all be glad to know that my brackets are looking pretty good thus far and I'm excited for the possibilities. Obviously Duke gave me a big scare but otherwise things have been going pretty much to script. I've even picked a few upsets. Most importantly, I'm beating O. That's my goal every year. But the tournament is very young thus far and much has yet to happen.
This morning I had a very nice run with O and Roxy and then off to the weight room where I did all my prescribed exercises including those that involve shoulders. I went very light on the shoulder exercises and my gimpy shoulder did pretty well. Everything I've read and learned about shoulder injuries seems to indicate that keeping it moving and strong is of utmost importance so that's what I'm aiming for. Obviously I wouldn't be doing this if my shoulder wasn't feeling better though! It feels a little weak and sore but overall much improved. I did still get a script from my PCP this morning (when I was at the doctors for an unrelated reason) for PT just in case the shoulder started acting up again.
And that's the (very exciting) news for the day! Tonight we are off to watch our church's production of their famed Easter Drama. It's a huge production and actually quite amazing when you realize that everything is done by church members - actors, makeup, set design, lighting, etc... Nothing professional is brought in! O was actually in the drama last year (he was a disciple) but couldn't this year with track season as the drama is a huge time commitment. Hope everyone has a great Good Friday!
