Sweet Recovery

I didn't even need to move an inch this morning before knowing I was S.O.R.E. from yesterday's race! Ouch!! But luckily I had a husband laying in bed next to me just as sore. Misery does love company you know!

But being sore isn't all that bad. I used to like getting that *good* sore feeling in high school because I knew it meant I had worked hard and as my muscles recovered they would be that much stronger.

Plus today was the perfect recovery day! I only had one workout (trainer ride) that I did before church that helped flush out some of the bad stuff and loosen up the legs. Then after church O and I came home, ate lunch and took a 2 hour nap! Sweet! Next up, I talked with my mom on the phone and kept my legs up the entire time. Then dinner. Then more relaxing. It really pays to get all your "jobs" done around the house and otherwise so that one day of the week you can truly relax. I know that is not always possible so I really appreciate it when it actually happens!

I hope everyone has a great week! I can't believe the end of February is already here. When I was talking on the phone with my mom we were discussing travel plans for St. Anthony's (she is coming to watch!) and that got me REALLY excited for the fact that racing season is right around the corner. YEAH spring time!

Beth!

Congrats on a great early season race! Success is sweet amidst the tough racing conditions. So fun about racing with hubby, too!
