O is a Netflix Junkie
I've created a monster. A Netflix Monster. Actually - the monster created himself. I really didn't have much to do with it other than the fact that I encouraged the use of Netflix as a way to view the remaining seasons of Grey's Anatomy without paying $100 for buying the DVDs. O is out of control. Netflix this and that and he was on the phone with them and every time I look he's on the Netflix website. The first words out of his mouth at dinner? "Our first installment of Netflix movies was sent out today and maybe they will arrive tomorrow! Hey - when's your next trainer ride? Because you could start watching Grey's Anatomy and then we could send that one back and get another..." His voice trailed off. He was deep in thought. Netflix thought. Scheming his next Netflix move. I can tell this is going to be trouble. Especially because I don't really understand how it works. If you don't see any blog entries for a while, know that I'm okay. It's just that I'm being forced to watch movies so we can return them to Netflix for more! :)
Regardless, today was a long swim day and a lifting session. The swim was this morning and went well. I was hurting by the end but managed a very good set of kick 50s to finish things off well. I'll tell you, I'm a kicking queen. I can seriously almost kick as fast as I can swim. Pull? Not so much. I guess that tells you were my strength lies. (hint - NOT my arms :)
So anyway, this afternoon after work I went back to the YMCA for my lifting and learned that one of the guys that I always see lifting in the weight room lost $6000 on the Super Bowl last night. I think I shed a tear for him right then and there. I will NEVER understand gambling. Never. I'm just not a risk taker in that sense. A risk taker in races, yes, but with money? NEVER, NEVER, NEVER! I would be absolutely sick if I lost $6000 on a football game! And homeless. Because we would have to default on our mortgage for sure. :)
So that's my story for today! Tomorrow is a new day and is...get this...supposed to be 60 degrees!!! O informed me that he WILL be wearing shorts on our run tomorrow morning. We shall see. I'm guessing it won't be 60 degrees at 5 in the morning but if it's above 37 degrees, I will be wearing shorts too! :) Good night everyone!

Oh my gosh - my heart goes out to the person who lost 6K on the game. How sad. What a tough way to live...
But I had to laugh at the Netflix comments. I can just see O urging you to hop BACK onto the trainer so he can watch more Grey's Anatomy... ha ha ha.
Sounds like you've earned yourself a Thumbprint cookie! :)

Ahhh, Netflix. We also have fallen victim and find ourselves saying things like "come on, we have to watch the last episode on this DVD so we can get the next one". It's lik a race of which there is no end! Enjoy!

Hey Beth!
As I was reading your blog I was opening our Netflix movie! haha. Some England movie that Jerome wants to see...."This is England..." Oh boy. Sounds wonderful?! hee hee. I am SOOO not a movie person. I am the person that did not watch 1 movie when I was on bedrest for nearly 8 weeks. I am nuts. :)
