Happy Christmas Eve!
We made it to South Carolina and even in one piece! It was a long drive. Very long. Especially long for someone (ME) who thinks driving in the car for 2 hours is long. But I was so happy to finally get here last night and have a good night's sleep at my parent's house! And Roxy was a dream. We had never travelled with her in the car farther than 4 or 5 hours so we didn't know what to expect but she was just fine, sleeping most of the way.
This morning O and I made our way to the Island Rec Center where I had planned to do my swim workout. The pool was absolutely packed but we found our way and got the job done. Not before I had a little run in with the mean lady in lane 2 though. When I asked her if she minded sharing her lane with me she replied "yes, I mind." Hmmm...could this be why every lane had 3 or 4 people in it and she was the only one in her lane? I should have known... But it all worked out and I can say that besides mean lane 2 lady, everyone else was really nice.
I love the holidays! And I love the south! (in the winter that is :) It is so nice and warm here. We drove home from the pool this morning with the windows down in the car... Ahh...the good life. :) Hope everyone has a great holiday!

that mean lady would not last long at the Y i go to... i always have to share lanes...
