Power Surge

O woke up this morning only to find he had a snow day in October! School was cancelled and he had an unexpected day off - of course not due to snow, but instead a power surge that zapped the high school. Hey, I guess you take whatever you can get.

So instead of going to work he became my training partner! First for a 68 min pool run that involved some intervals and then for a 2:15 bike ride. And before you call it cruel and unusual punishment, he volunteered for both activities. I didn't even have to twist one arm. :)

The training took up the morning and then this afternoon I joined O to cheer on his cross country team at an invitational. Great fall day for some cross country! It was a little on the warm side - in the 70s and sunny, but the fall colors were spectacular. And that, along with some really good racing, is what cross country is all about.

And now it's time for bed; because that's what I'm all about. :) Good night!
