Ho-Hum
Geez - usually there's something interesting enough that happens in my day to write about in my blog. Anything? Today - not so much. Oh well. Not every day can be glamorous I guess. :)
I woke up and it was raining. Then I went to the pool and it was raining and then to work and more rain and finally rain on my way home from work. One rainy day.
This morning's pool workout was only 3000 yds, the first inkling of a taper. This is still a standard week with the same amount of workouts (minus the lifting though) but I noticed each workout is just a little bit less. Instead of my moderate ride being 2-2:30, it's 1:50. Instead of my long run being 1:40-2, it's 1:25. Instead of my hard swim being 3500-4000 yds, it's 3000. And then next week the taper starts in earnest.
Anyway, back to this morning - 3K swim and there's really nothing exciting to report. Then work. Then home for a hard bike workout on the trainer. My legs were TIRED today - hard to push the bigger gears but I got 'er done and it actually didn't turn out too bad. I was only on the bike for just a little over an hour.
And now off to the pool (again) for a pool run. Ho-hum... :)
