How did it get to be 10:15 pm already? That 45 minute nap after work before my swim/lift might have something to do with it... :)

Three workouts today. Workout #1 involved a track workout at 5:15 am this morning. The warmup was a bit broken up by the fact that a storm was going through and my equipment manager would not let me out on the track until 5 minutes after the last lightning sighting. He's good like that. The main set of the workout was 8x400 w/half the rest of the interval. We ran :83, :82, :80, :80, :80, :80, :78, :79 (and had ~40 seconds rest for all of them). From #6 on I was a hurting puppy. The one thing I notice more than anything in terms of my perceived loss of fitness after my cycling accident is that I definitely do not recover as fast as I used to. It will come though. Patience is my mantra.

The 2nd workout was 4000 yds in the pool (main set of 1x1000, 5x200, 10x100 and 200 kick). Haven't done that in a while and it felt really good.

The 3rd workout was lifting - yes that's right - I went back to the weight room! Had to ask around at the YMCA where it was since I haven't been there for so long. :) I lifted VERY light because I knew I would be sore from it and because I really won't get back into serious lifting until after Steelhead in the beginning of August. Good deal.

Now my bed is calling my name. Unfortunately I think Roxy has made herself quite comfortable on my side of the bed. Her little head is right on my pillow. That dog is out of control! :)
