My Computer is Making Funny Noises
I gotta tell ya, I'm a little worried about my computer. He's old no doubt (over 4 years which is like 95 in human years), so it comes as no surprise that he is starting to show some serious signs of wear and tear. I fear one morning I'll wake up and he'll have croaked for good. But the fact is, I'd rather have a pair of new race wheels than a new computer (actually, I could probably get about 5 new computers for the cost of a set of Zipp 808s but nonetheless I digress...) so for now, I'll be using the computer that makes funny sounds, takes about 15 minutes to open up a PDF file (wherein he is so tired afterwards he pretty much refuses to do anything else for the day), and won't play videos because that is wayyyyyy to advanced for an old man like him. Ah...such is life... :)
In terms of training, this morning I did a little 2000 yd workout in the pool and then promptly came home and threw away the bathing suit that I had just worn. I can't afford to make the same mistake of wearing that tattered old thing again! Definitely time for some new suits that haven't grown 3 sizes and that are indeed thick enough to cover the things they are supposed to cover.
After work this afternoon I did a quick workout on the bike (on the trainer) with 3x4 minutes hard to spice things up. Tomorrow is a day off, my first in two weeks (unless you count that painful 15 minutes of running the day after Age Group Nationals as a day off), which I am very much looking forward to.

that is a GREAT question: would i rather have a bike or computer?
hmmmmm. ahhhh!! it hurts my brain to think about it. wait, i guess a bike b/c i can gain access to a computer other places. but i would miss my bff laptop.

but i don't know...i really might need a computer so i can do my homework. my quality of life would decline if i had to be at school all the time. plus, what are the chances i could finish all of my work during school library hours?
oh geez, this is just too sad to think about. i want BOTH!! :)

Here's how much of a nerd your sister is:
When D & I got engaged, he joked with me about getting me a laptop because I didn't want an engagement ring. I thought it was a great idea -- you can get a *really* awesome laptop for the amount that most guys spend on a ring. Unfortunately, he caved into the diamond lobby & got me earrings anyway. But maybe I'll get a 10th anniversary laptop? A girl can dream, right?
