It Wasn't Pretty But...
I still qualified for the Age Group World Championships in September in Hamburg, Germany! :) Full race report to follow of course but the short story is - rough swim (wouldn't expect any different), okay bike and then really rough run wherin I stopped to throw up not once but twice - yes twice! As you might surmise, I felt quite sick on the run. And my split showed it. I even considered dropping out after I threw up the 2nd time but I talked myself back into continuing on because I knew I still had a chance to qualify. Good thing I did! Now hopefully by the time Worlds rolls around in September I'll be back to full strength and better able to compete with some of the best amateurs in the world. That is if my bike actually makes it to Germany on time... :)

that is so awesome beth!! it sounds like it was quite a trip (that is awful about your luggage and bike), and quite a race, but that is so incredibly awesome!! i cannot wait to read about your race in germany!!
