Hot, Hot, Hot!
Wowsers - very hot here...at least for us Pittsburghers! Is Pittsburghers a word?
Anyway, before it go too hot (read into the 90s) O and I ran a short and sweet workout on the track this morning. I woke up feeling my long run from yesterday but by the time we warmed up to the track this morning I was feeling better. It's hard not to get warmed up in 70 degrees and sauna like humidity. :)
The workout was 1.5 miles of running the straights hard and the curves easy. I like doing this workout with O because he is quite speedy and I get to chase him.
This afternoon I had another swim lesson with Eric before he moves off to Ohio. I can't believe how much better my stroke is after working with him just a little. Now all that is left to do is actually swim fast in a race (and try not to get nauseous in the interim). I can't even remember how I used to swim. I do of course have more to learn including breathing every 3rd stroke (which would require me to be able to breathe on both sides - haven't mastered that yet). Regardless, I'm excited that one day this swim of mine might actually come around a little.
And now it's time for bed. Hope everyone had a great day!
