Death of a Blender
Our blender died mid-smoothie last night. Very, very sad. One cannot live without a blender. So O promptly went out to get a new one this afternoon. The blender that died is the first wedding gift that we got that we had to replace. I'm sure other various items are soon to follow. And that can only mean one thing.
We are getting old.
Ugh.
Regardless, today I went to the pool for a 3000 yd hard swim. I thought I was going to be dragging because I had the long swim last night and then my first lifting session in about 6 weeks, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I feel like I'm starting to get back into a good swimming groove. Even before my accident I felt like my swimming wasn't going well and then right after the accident my swimming was even worse. But I might be getting some of the swimming mo-jo back that I had all winter. I hope it's here to stay!
That was my only workout for today unless you count getting ready for tomorrow as a workout. :) I have a long (long for me that is) brick and then some lifting to do. But the brick involves a 3:30 ride wherein I'm riding about an hour and then meeting a friend to ride the other 2:30 and then I'm meeting O for the 30 minute transition run and then we'll all convene for some lunch. I'm just hoping to remember where I need to be and at what time and that I don't get a flat in the mean time that will really mess up the works. :) Good thing for cell phones you know?

Actually, the blender is the 2nd item we had to replace. What we had to replace first was the only item that got more use than the blender for weekly smoothies--the pizza pan. Those DiGiorno pizzas taste just like delivery every week.....
