Even More Like It
When I got home from my...hmm...we'll call it "challenging"...swim on Wednesday I saw that O had written me a note before he left for work. It said something to the effect of "hope your swim was good - hope you swam like a fish!" I laughed because, well, I felt very un-fish-like Wednesday (maybe a dead fish?). But this morning made up for Wednesday. I was very fishy indeed!
I felt soooooooo much better which made me happy. Much smoother, much better stroke, just much better all around. Granted the workouts were very different but it was just nice to feel good!
3000 yds total @YMCA
wu: 250 easy, 6x75 w/15 sec rest as 50 easy/25 hard
ms: 8x150 w/1 min rest broken at 100 for 10 sec as 100 hard/50 easy (100s were: 1:17, 1:15, 1:14, 1:13, 1:13, 1:12, 1:12, 1:11), 600 pull (9:29), 1 min rest, 10x50 w/alt rests of 5 sec and 30 sec (:35-:38)
After the swim workout I lifted. My lifting is now out of the "power" phase and into the "chisel" phase which just means lighter weights and 2 sets of 12 reps - a.k.a. not too hard.
Getting ready for a big day tomorrow - a swim and then a long bike (4 hours). I already have my fluids prepared! Have a great weekend everyone!
