Summary of Day & Week
Today was so beautiful here! O and I enjoyed a nice 1:45 run this morning on the trail under an amazing blue, sunny sky. We didn't take the pooch because we knew all the rain yesterday would make the trail muddy and Roxy always finds a way to the biggest, muddiest, messiest puddles/path possible, making her white feet match the rest of her black body. She did give us a sad look as we left, but she got over it. Just give that dog a Cheez-It and all is well again with the world. :)
After church, lunch and a nap I headed to the pool for a 4000 yd workout.
wu: 300 easy, 4x50 w/20 sec rest
ms: 20x100 on 1:35, 300 kick (4:44), 600 pull (9:40), 8x50 w/20 sec rest alternating easy/fast
cd: 200 easy
Once home I poked around for a while before getting on my bike for an easy 1 hour spin. I didn't ride outside despite the beautiful weather because I find it too hard to ride easy and keep my HR in the right zone on these Sunday rides unless I'm on the trainer. It's just too hilly around here. :)
And somehow it's 8:30 already! Where does the weekend go? I guess there is no choice but to get prepared mentally and physically for the new week to come...
Summary for the week:
Monday - off
Tuesday - 3500 yd swim in am, 61 min ride w/intervals (20 min TT) and 70 min run in pm, 2x25 pushups, 2x100 crunchers
Wednesday - 5000 yd swim and 30 min run in am, lifting session in pm
Thursday - 6.5 mi run in am including 8x400 on the track, 1:45 ride in pm
Friday - 3500 yd swim in am, lifting session in pm
Saturday - 3 hour ride/30 min run brick (including 15 min break for shower :), core/feet exercises
Sunday - 1:45 run in am, 4000 yd swim and 1 hour easy ride in pm
This week was a big swim week - 16,000 yds which is a lot for me. Helps when you have a 5000 yarder in there! Also ~36 miles running and ~125 miles riding. This next week coming up is a run focused week. I'm pretty excited already about my track workout on Thursday - 800s and 1600s! :)
Have a great start to your week everyone!
