It Helps to Write Down the Correct Workout

Man was I feeling rough this morning when I woke up. I think my whole body hurt. I say think because I was honestly too tired to know for sure. Ouch. But once I got moving and dragged myself to the pool I had a pretty good workout.

AM swim workout:
3500 yds total @YMCA
wu: 600 easy, 6x75 w/20 sec rest as 50 fast/25 easy
ms: 4x(3x100 w/1 min rest, 1x200 w/10 sec rest) (1:17.5, 1:17.3, 1:16.8, 2:41, 1:18.6, 1:16.0, 1:15.6, 2:39, 1:17.2, 1:15.3, 1:16.1, 2:40, 1:17.0, 1:16.0, 1:15.7, 2:39), 1 min rest, 4x100 kick w/20 sec rest (1:29, 1:29, 1:28, 1:28)
cd: 50 easy

This was a really tough workout. Friday's are supposed to be the swim workout days where I kick my HR into high gear. Nothing like hard 100s to do that. Here's the kicker though - those 200s were supposed to be "easy". Um yeah - I failed to write that important piece of info down on my little sheet of paper so I swam them...well...not so easy. Big difference! I was so mad at myself when I saw what I did but what can you do. I would have been more angry with myself if I had done them easy and they were supposed to be hard...

So that's my story and I'm sticking to it! I'm almost done here at work today at which point I'm headed to the gym to lift and then off to the bike store to pick my TT up from getting his first tune-up. I'm also going to get on the bike at the store for them to work on my fit a little more. Good deal. After all that? Home where I hope to crawl into bed and and fall into a deep, long sleep... :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
