Swim, Lift, Blog

So very glad that it's Friday! I am looking forward to tomorrow too because Oscar and I are going to visit my girlfriend (who lives near Penn State) for her and her (1 year old!) daughter's birthday! How cool that her daughter was born on her birthday. That will be an easy one to remember!

Regardless, today I went swimming in the morning.

3000 yds total @YMCA
wu: 200 easy, 20x25 w/20 sec rest (alternate breast, free, back)
ms: 20x100 w/2 on rest of 10 sec, 1 on rest of 45 sec (1:20.3, 1:20.4, 1:19.9, 1:17.5, 1:18.7, 1:18.4, 1:17.7, 1:18.3, 1:17.6, 1:17.2, 1:17.3, 1:17.8, 1:16.0, 1:17.5, 1:17.1, 1:16.2, 1:17.4, 1:16.6, 1:17.0, 1:16.6)
cd: 300 easy

After doing the first 3 100s I was thinking to myself "this is going to be a real longgggg workout" as based on how I was feeling and how much effort I was exerting to swim 1:20s! But then I started to get rolling and although it was still challenging I was at least performing a little better!

After work I headed over to the YMCA to lift. I like it in there on Fridays because it's not busy at all and I can get all the stuff I need.

In other news I've been rearranging and adjusting my summer racing schedule some after talking with my coach. I am very excited that my first tri is only 6 weeks away!

1) Angel Triathlon (sprint) - April 15
2) Columbia Triathlon (olympic) - May 20
3) Eagleman Triathlon (half IM) - June 10
4) Age Group Nationals (olympic) - June 30
5) Pittsburgh Triathlon (olympic) - July 15
6) NYC Triathlon (olympic) - July 22

And the rest is TBD as based on how the first part of the season goes! The big changes were the addition of the sprint tri in April and the deletion of the half marathon at the end of March and the Philly Tri in mid June. I get so excited when I think about racing! And I'm sure it will be here before I know it...

Have a great weekend everyone!
