Just the Basics

5:10 am - 1:15 run

3:10 pm - 2500 yd swim:
wu: 600 easy
ms: 600 pull (9:48), 30 sec rest, 600 mod taking (as close to as possible) one breath on last lap of each 100 (8:20), 30 sec rest, 6x100 kick w/20 sec rest (1:34, 1:32, 1:31, 1:30, 1:29, 1:29)
cd: 100 easy

5:30 pm - 1:15 trainer ride - very hard time getting and then keeping my HR up

The YMCA pool is still closed and it's really throwing me off my groove. But on a posititive note, I guess a change of pace isn't so bad. I just wish the pool at Pitt wasn't a 25 minute walk from where I park my car for work. Ugh.

Did you see Barb giving you props over on her blog?

I see the "5:10 am" part of your entry and I just cringe, even though I know you're out and about probably almost everyday at that hour. Good lord, girl, that just put a bit of tangibility for this onlooker into your training life. You're a stud.

Oh, I'm back. :)

I forgot to mention that I went on my first outdoor ride of the season (Well, and I haven't ridden the trainer since before Costa Rica, either.) last weekend. I thought of you and how you'd love flying up and down Yellowstone roads. The weather was gorgeous, the roads free of snow and closed to cars, and the surrounding mountains still glowing snowy white. It was awesome.

Just thought I'd share. :)
