The Stats

Today's stats:

(1) 1:15 run this am with O - it was 20 degrees and felt like a heat wave.
(2) 2500 yd swim after church (and a nap) at the YMCA - main set was 1400 pull (yikes!) in 24:23
(3) 1 hour easy spinning on bike while watching part of The Wedding Planner - much better movies on tv on Sunday afternoon vs early Saturday morning

This week's stats:

Monday - off
Tuesday - 2000 yd swim in am, 50 min run and 1 hour tempo bike in pm, 2x25 pushups/2x100 crunchers
Wednesday - 3000 yd swim in am, 30 min run in pm
Thursday - 1:45 bike in am, 48 min run w/fartlek in pm, lifting session
Friday - 2500 yd swim in am, core/feet exercises
Saturday - 3 hour bike in am, lifting session
Sunday - 1:15 run in am, 2500 yd swim and 1 hour easy bike in pm

The totals were around 14:30 hours. My legs are tired too! But this week coming up actually has a little reduction in volume because....

I am racing on Saturday! It's a low key 10 mile running race but I am just sooooo excited. First, for the fact that it's supposed to be in the 40s! And second, for the fact that I haven't raced in what seems like years and I am really, really excited to do so! I'm not looking to be a world beater on Saturday, but just looking forward to competing and getting in a good, hard run.

I would also like to mention that my triathlon hero placed second today at the Austin Marathon! On her website she mentioned that her goal was to break 2:47 to qualify for the Olympic Marathon Trials and that she did - by a lot - with a 2:40. Now granted she came from a running background, but I really think that's an amazing performance considering that she's a triathlete and spends lots of time in the pool and on the bike too! Really, really cool.
