Lazy Day
I had today off work due to the holiday and let me tell you - I've been living it up! It's raining (still) and dreary outside and so Roxy and I saw fit to sleep in late (but not that late - 6:30 or so), and then come home from the pool this morning and lounge around watching tv. What a life I live! But I'll tell you it feels great. I could easily get bored doing this every day but every now again it's a blessing.
Anyway, morning swim:
4000 yds total (1000 yds warmup, 1200 yd cooldown)
4x50 on :45
3x100 on 1:30
2x150 on 2:15
1x200 on 3
2x150 on 2:15
5x100 on 1:25
The workout really wasn't too bad. I didn't get much rest at any given point but that just makes the workout go by a lot faster. The last 5x100 on 1:25 really weren't too bad either. At some point I'd like to give a go at 20x100 on 1:25 to see if I could do it.
During my cooldown I swam a straight 500 and forced myself to do flip turns for every turn. They're not pretty but I think I'll slowly get used to them and get better the more I do them. I know that's what I did with swimming in general - just keep at it and the stroke will come around eventually...I think... ;)
After the swim I did a 40 minute weight session and that was it for the day! Otherwise I have some odds and ends to do until O gets home (somebody has to work around here!) and then I will actually be making dinner. It's rare when that occurs. I think just maybe I remember where the pots are...
Hope everyone has a great day!
