Quick and (Relatively) Painless

Guess where I was this morning?! Yes - that's right - the pool! (you never would have guessed it, I'm sure)...

AM swim workout:

Not too bad this morning. In fact, it wasn't too bad at all.
2000 yds total at YMCA (600 yds warmup, 500 yds cooldown)

5x100 w/20 sec rest descending:
(1:21.2, 1:19.7, 1:18.7, 1:16.2, 1:14.0)
and then 1 minute rest before 2x100 (with 20 seconds rest) at pace of last 100: (1:13.7, 1:13.2)

200 moderate kick (3:10)

It was so short I didn't even realize it was over when it was over! I did get lots of flip turn practice on my warmup and cooldown though. Very exciting. Less water up the nose but I hit a few bad ones where I turned funny and ended up more in the lane line than in the lane. Opps. :)

This afternoon I have a weight lifting session and then that's it! Cutback weeks are wonderful! I can already feel my legs recovering and feeling fresher - I'm sure only to be punished more next week. That's okay though - punishing workouts now make the races seem easier. Sometimes. :)

Hope everyone has a great start to their long(er) weekends!
