Maybe I Won't Have To Move Afterall
It's supposed to be in the 50s tomorrow and through mid-week! Pure happiness was when I made that discovery this morning. But alas, the warm weather begins tomorrow, not today. So when I drove into the shop this morning for the team ride I wasn't sure what exactly we'd be doing - riding in or out - because it was only 22 degrees.
After some hemming and hawing and then some more hemming, we decided on riding inside. There are (+) and (-) to both so I really didn't care. Either way, I rode for 2:30 total, starting with 40 minutes easy and then 20 harder in my big chain ring, 15 easy, 25 harder in the big chain ring, 15 easy, 30 harder in the big chain ring and then an easy 5 minutes to finish it off. I wanted to make sure I elevated my heart rate some at least!
After the riding I showered, ate some lunch, hung around for a while and then headed to the Pitt pool for some more water running. No swim or diving practice to keep me entertained today but they had some good music playing which helped matters immensely. Music makes everything better doesn't it? Imagine if you had to ride in a car (for any length of time really) without the radio? Or when you are cleaning the house or running easy or writing your blog? O and I always have music on. It's good stuff.
Anyway, I pool ran for 1:15 w/4x8 minutes hard w/3 minutes rest in there to pass the time more quickly. And time actually did pass rather quickly, not something that usually happens when pool running.
And now I'm back home and it's time to decorate for Christmas! O and I actually have a tree this year and stockings too and although I'm relatively certain Roxy is going to wreck it all once we have it up, we are putting it up anyway. So there! :)
In other news the Ironman World Champs were on tv today and since I knew I would miss the beginning of them I taped the whole thing so I could sit down and watch it later. I CANNOT WAIT! Watching Kona on tv many eons ago (when I was in high school) is what made me want to do a triathlon in the first place. Huh - go figure. :)

My biggest week yet - 16:25 total hours although I feel like I cheated since all my running was in the water. I don't feel "beat up" enough! :) Or maybe, just maybe, I'm adapting to the training some!

16.25 hours makes it official: even if you aren't a pro yet, your training is definitely a half-time job. Good going, especially since you don't feel beat up by what you've done this week.
