I'm Glad I Don't Live in Denver

I'm just not a fan of blizzards, although if it meant you were FORCED to stay inside all day, not go to work, watch tv and curl up on the couch...well...that might not be so bad. :)

AM swim workout:

4100 yds total (1200 yds warmup, 1100 yds cooldown)

4x50 on :45
3x100 on 1:30
2x150 on 2:15
1x200 on 3
2x150 on 2:15
5x100 on 1:25

I really liked this workout. It was over before I knew it because there wasn't much rest to be found anywhere! I made the 5x100s on 1:25 although I'll have to say I was relatively glad I only had 5 of them to do instead of...say...20. :)

After the swim I lifted. It was a 45 minute session. I'll have to say, lifting at 6:30 in the morning at the YMCA isn't such a bad thing. I had the whole weight room to myself!

I worked at the shop today instead of my real job so I didn't start until 10 am. That the good part. The hard part is the shop is open until 8 pm! But luckily Coach (owner of the shop) let me go out and do my run around 4 pm (instead of having to wait until 8 pm when I really wouldn't have wanted to do it!). Very nice of him.

PM run workout
45 minutes total, not including 7x20 second striders (skipping back)

I felt better than I thought I was going to for this, but my legs are a little on the sore/tired side, likely from yesterday's effort. I just took it easy though and the striders were probably good for me to get things loosened up.

And now I'm really tired and want to go to bed. AH - brilliant idea! :) Good night all!

re PS. ... for some reason I pictured you making a big fire in your yard, dancing around it and then torching your old, evil, shoes in it :-) ... On the other hand, if you were feeling artistically conceptual, Jackson Pollock style (check out his "dripped shoes"), you could frame them under glass, elaborate a title based on their identity, unleash their significance in all its inanimated neo-post-modern essence... :-) ...
