Week Summary

I survived my team ride this morning in fine fashion. I feared the worst which may have been a good strategy because then it wasn't that bad. We ended up with 45 miles in about 2:10. We climbed lots of big hills that left me cursing at times, but very happy to go down the other side. And I held my own. They never had to wait for me which is always my goal. :)

This afternoon I went for a run - about 46 minutes with striders in the middle. O went with me. It was a nice afternoon - I'm still wearing shorts but I know that will soon come to an end.

And now I'm off to the end of the year cycling banquet! It's for the group that put on all the crits in the summer. I have to watch my teammates pick up all their hardware. :) And it will be fun to see everyone in something other than cycling shorts.

Week summary:

Monday - 3700 meter swim w/5x500 in am, 1:15 (10 miles) run in pm, 2x25 pushups, 2x100 crunchers
Tuesday - 2000 yd swim w/6x50 in am, weights in pm, 1 hour pilates class
Wednesday - 3000 yd swim w/2x500, 400 kick in am, 55 minute run w/striders in am, 1:30 w/ILT on the trainer in pm
Thursday - 45 min on trainer w/5 spin-ups in am, weights in pm
Friday - 2400 yd swim w/10x100, 300 kick in am, 1:20 (10.5 miles) run in pm, core/feet exercises
Saturday - 45 mile ride in am,, 45 minute run w/striders in pm

Another big week! 15 hours, about 34 miles running, 85 miles riding, 11,500 yds swimming and some weight lifting and pilates for good measure. Coach informed me this morning that I would be swimming more and running more in the weeks to come. Yikes! :)
